Graduating from Extreme Poverty – EPRG 5

Date: November 17, 2011
Venue: Asia Pacific Blossom Hotel, 27, Park Road, Baridhara, Dhaka

This was the 5th meeting of the EPRG, and was themed “graduating from extreme poverty”, stemming from the growth in interest for promoting sustainable graduation. The EPRG is growing to include a wide network of policy makers and practitioners committed to reducing extreme poverty. At the fifth meeting, there were 64 participants with increased participation from Innovation Fund NGOs (12) partners (including Handicap International, Plan Bangladesh, IDE and Action Aid Bangladesh) and new Scale Fund NGO partners Oxfam, Caritas and Concern.

This session also welcomed the work from CLP and Shiree on the issue, with inputs from Yolande Wright (DFID). Masud Rana (Shiree) and NDP fed back findings from a Randomised Control Trial concerning the experience with integrating nutrition.
